ABOUT
Kate Kelty lives in the scenic Shenandoah Valley of Virginia with her husband Chris and their five children. In addition to writing, Kate loves serving alongside Chris in ministry and working as a home design coordinator. When not busy with family or clients, Kate loves reimagining her own spaces, catching up with girlfriends over coffee or dreaming up her next great adventure.
Kate has always found great solace and strength in writing. What began as childhood poems to articulate trauma, are now vulnerable pages of raw suffering, healing and hope in Jesus. With a great love for expression and God’s word, Kate writes in a way that both validates pain and invites the reader deep into the biblical narrative of suffering, salvation and the stunning love of God. As someone who has endured many tragedies and various circumstances of pain, Kate offers the transparency of her emotional and spiritual process through abuse, the loss of babies, the effects of trauma and deception, and the daily challenges of raising a special needs child. Kate yearns to offer safe spaces for others to be with their pain, to admit their questions and fears and to step bravely toward a God who is exceedingly, abundantly more than all we can ask or imagine.
